In June 2011, Spotz and her team completed the 3,000-mile relay bicycle Race Across America in less than eight days, cycling 24/7. Amazingly, Katie broke her pelvic while training the week before the race, but went on to compete using a hand-cycle.

Rowing 3,038 miles from West Africa to South America, Spotz became the youngest person ever to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean, spending 70 days alone at sea.
Spotz set the world record as the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean, rowing 3,038 miles from West Africa to South America. More than $150,000 was raised for clean water projects as the mission behind the row.

Riding 3,300 miles from Seattle to Washington, D.C., Katie averaged 85 miles a day for 40 days. Together with 40 other cyclists, the team raised more than $250,000 for the American Lung Association.
