Institution Wiljean Compere

Institution Wiljean Compere received gender-specific bathrooms for students, a private bathroom for teachers, a shower to support student hygiene, and handwashing stations. The school also received hygiene education, menstrual hygiene education, and bio-sand filters that provide access to safe drinking water.

The new handwashing station now serves 500 students, helping them practice proper hygiene by washing their hands after playing outside, before eating, and after using the restrooms. In addition, a portion of the donated funds supported the development of an educational training program for the school.

Clean Water Project in Ile Lambi, Haiti

This project provided clean water filters, water testing, hygiene education, monitoring, and ongoing support to 69 households on Île Lambi, off the coast of Haiti.

The island has no potable water source, and the nearest one is four hours away. A rainwater catchment system and 400-gallon storage tank were built, while ceramic filters made the untreated water safer to drink. Residents also received training in handwashing, hygiene, and basic sanitation.

Clean Water for 16 Schools in Corail, Haiti

This project improved access to safe drinking water and strengthened hygiene practices at 16 schools throughout the Corail commune in Haiti. Each school received clean water filters, along with water testing, monitoring, and follow-up support to help ensure the water remained safe for students and staff.

Teachers also received training in proper hygiene and sanitation, equipping them to share these practices with their students. By combining clean water solutions with education and ongoing monitoring, the project helped create healthier school environments while building knowledge and habits that can continue benefiting students and their communities.
