Tobrise Basic Primary School

Ogangai Kidetok Primary School serves 60 students and 11 teachers but had no water or toilet facilities. A new borehole was drilled and fitted with a hand pump, and 8-point-of-use water filters were installed in classrooms and the staff room to provide safe drinking water. To improve sanitation, four new toilet blocks and eight urinals were built. With clean water and proper toilets on site, students can stay healthy, attend school consistently, and focus on learning in a safe, supportive environment.

Batey Los Robles - Barahona

At Batey Los Robles, H2O for Life provided the school with its first reliable source of clean water. An ultraviolet water purification system and an 800-gallon storage tank were installed, along with handwashing and drinking stations and bathroom sinks. The school also received a 10-month supply of soap to support hygiene. Students attended a four-day seminar on using the new facilities and practicing basic health and hygiene, helping them stay healthy and focused on learning.

Prathmik Bal Vikas School, Bhikamkore

In partnership with GRAVIS, the project improved water, health, and education for rural school children. Bio-sand filters were installed to provide safe drinking water, and students attended health and nutrition camps to learn hygiene and healthy eating. Regular health checkups addressed common illnesses, and school facilities were improved with furniture, learning materials, and tree planting. These efforts increased access to clean water, improved health, and created a safer, more supportive learning environment.

Tule Oriental Central

31 families lack nearby clean water and safe sanitation, increasing health risks and daily hardship. A community well will be drilled, and 20 double-pit VIP latrines will be built to provide reliable water access and improved household sanitation. Those 31 families will now have clean water close to home and safer sanitation to keep them healthier.

Handwashing and Sanitation for Schools in Guatemala

This project provided schools in Guatemala’s central highlands with handwashing stations, bathrooms, latrines, flush toilets, and septic tanks in support of the Peace Corps Healthy Schools initiative. These improvements created safer, more sanitary learning environments and gave teachers and Peace Corps volunteers the facilities needed to reinforce healthy hygiene habits.

Clean Water and Sanitation for Two Communities in Trojes, Honduras

This project brought clean water, hygiene education, and improved sanitation to Nueva Victoria and Brisas de Poteca in Trojes, Honduras. Pure Water installed water filters and latrines in homes and schools and provided residents and students with hygiene and sanitation education.

Clean Water Project in Ile Lambi, Haiti

This project provided clean water filters, water testing, hygiene education, monitoring, and ongoing support to 69 households on Île Lambi, off the coast of Haiti.

The island has no potable water source, and the nearest one is four hours away. A rainwater catchment system and 400-gallon storage tank were built, while ceramic filters made the untreated water safer to drink. Residents also received training in handwashing, hygiene, and basic sanitation.

Clean Water for 16 Schools in Corail, Haiti

This project improved access to safe drinking water and strengthened hygiene practices at 16 schools throughout the Corail commune in Haiti. Each school received clean water filters, along with water testing, monitoring, and follow-up support to help ensure the water remained safe for students and staff.

Teachers also received training in proper hygiene and sanitation, equipping them to share these practices with their students. By combining clean water solutions with education and ongoing monitoring, the project helped create healthier school environments while building knowledge and habits that can continue benefiting students and their communities.
